Titan’s surface air presses about 1.5 times Earth’s

At Titan’s surface the atmospheric pressure is about one and a half times Earth’s sea-level value — heavier air despite the moon’s weaker gravity and colder chemistry.

That thick blanket lets molecules linger, drives weather cycles, and would feel crushingly dense to an unprotected human. Huygens measured the press during its 2005 descent through the haze.

Pressure is a planetary handshake. Titan shows a moon can wear an air ocean thicker than Earth’s while still orbiting a giant planet.
