Voyager 2 is the only probe to visit all four giant planets

Voyager 2 is the only probe to visit all four giant planets

Launched in 1977, Voyager 2 flew by Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune — the only spacecraft to tour all four outer giants up close.

A rare planetary alignment made the “Grand Tour” path possible with gravity assists. It later crossed into interstellar space, still phoning home faintly.

One robot collected a system-wide postcard set. No later mission has repeated that full giant-planet circuit.
