Electric eels can generate over 600 volts

Despite the name, electric eels are knifefish, not true eels. Specialized cells stacked like batteries can fire pulses over 600 volts.

High-voltage shocks stun prey; lower pulses aid navigation and communication in murky Amazon waters.

Living power plant, wrong common name. Evolution wired muscle into a stun gun long before humans invented outlets.
