An archerfish shoots water droplets to knock insects down

Archerfish spit precise jets that knock insects off overhanging leaves — hunting above the surface from below.

They compensate for light bending at the water-air boundary so the aim lands where the bug actually sits.

Optics plus spit equals lunch. A mouth becomes a water pistol tuned by evolution and practice.
