A dog’s sense of smell is up to 100,000 times stronger than a human’s
Breed and training matter, but many dogs detect odor at concentrations tens of thousands of times fainter than humans notice — up to about 100,000× in extreme cases.
That nose powers detection work: explosives, drugs, disease markers, and search-and-rescue trails invisible to our senses.
Smell is a dog’s primary map of the world. What we see as empty air, they read as a layered story.
